If you think you are too old to buy a Spanish language course and learn Spanish, think again. Yes, it is easier to learn a new language when you are younger, it is easier to learn almost anything when you are a teenager. However, young people do not realize how valuable learning Spanish can be in the workplace.
If you are older, don’t fear, computerized Spanish language courses are a vast improvement over learning Spanish in school. Today, useful phrases are taught, with less emphasis on reading the language. You can learn at your own pace and practice with your computer in private. The speaker on the computer program will never tire of repeating the same phrase over and over, your teacher now has infinite patience.
As long as you are interested in learning a language, your interest will sustain you. Taking Spanish in high school because a second language was mandatory is far different than wanting to learn for learnings sake.
I am now retired and somewhat older than you and spend most of my time studying one thing or another, including piano and French. I admit another language doesn’t come quite so easily at my age, but it comes.
